On Sunday 10/20, just before 1:30 pm, the fire department was dispatched for a reported car fire on Kaufman Drive. First arriving units found a vehicle parked on the side of the road with a well involved engine compartment fire. Engine 1-2 arrived, stretched 1 hand-line, and quickly knocked down the fire and kept it from extending further down the road due to piles of leaves in the street. Engine 1 assisted with overhaul. Good job by all.
