On Thursday 1/30, shortly before 4pm, the fire department was dispatched to the intersection of 4th and Ackerman for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Rescue 1 arrived and was advised by command to remove the front passenger side door. Luckily the party in the vehicle was not injured, just unable to get out of the vehicle. Engine 1 provided assistance and was prepared to stretch a hose line in case the vehicle caught fire. Once the party was removed, the scene was turned over to PD and all fire units were clear. Good job by all!
